The "Laurent Trade & Design Company" was founded in March 1990 by its current owners, Barbara and Eric Laurent, a European couple with many ties to old Europe who have selected North Carolina as their home base. The Company specializes in artistic and exclusive products essentially from Italy and France. The range includes sculpted marble fruit from Tuscany, Murano stemware and other Venetian glass treasures, wooden sculptures from the Dolomites, Florentine hand-painted art glass, Limoges porcelain sets designed by the renowned Parisian artist Sophie Villepique, Provençal and Corsican pottery, Moustiers faience and other gift creations all carefully and personally sourced. All products aim at a clientele which values the origin and the artistic and heirloom nature of its acquisitions. |
